Turkey decoys: mounted birds

A friend of mine began using mounts as decoys last year. Unbelievable results! He videoed a tom beating the hell out of his decoy until the head came off. The angry tom picked up the head and beat it on the ground for 10 minutes. My friends bud who works for our game and fish dept was filming. They finally decided to shoot the tom before he annihilated the decoy. After sticking the head back on (freeze dried), they groomed the decoy and went to another farm where his buddy shot his own tom within 15 minutes. Last weekend was our juvenile opener. My friend took a youngster who bagged his first tom...using the same decoy. grayghost
