Post H&R Ultra Hunter 308?

Working out a deal with a buddy of mine that wants to get rid of his Ultra Hunter 308 (He hasn't used it except at the range in two years). Rifle, Tasco Worldclass scope, hornady dimension dies, brass, bullets, ammo etc. He is thinking about asking $250-$275 for all of it. The rifle doesn't have hardly a scratch on it, and I have shot it before (it shoots well, although the scope doesn't seem to hold between trips to the range. Altogether a great rifle, but I have a couple of questions.

1. I am going to have to start shooting lefty because my right eye has gotten so bad. Any lefties ever shoot this gun? Is it Lefty friendly? I can't remember there being any flags from last time I shot it that would say it wasn't, but I have never shot it left handed.

2. Does anybody have a source for left handed stocks, camo stocks, etc for this gun? Not looking for pistol grip stuff, just montecarlo style.

Thanks

GoodOlBoy

GOB, I believe that the H&R and NEF stocks are all interchangeable and that you can pick up a used stock at a gun show, or at least you can around here. If your happy with a cheap factory stock you can shoot them right or left handed.
