barnes varmit grenade

wondering anybody's experience with these compared to other exposive type varmint bullets? thanks

Very thin jacket. Prairie dogs fine. Larger animals, iffy, at best. Perfect shot, ok on larger animals. Hit even a rib bone close to the skin and it will blow up.

the 55gr grenade needs 1/12 twist barrel. most all 22/250s are 1/14

then theres a lighter one that would fly past 4200. ive burned out my throught with light pills i dont shoot anything over 3800 in the swift anymore and i dont shoot lighter than 50s.


i think the varmit grades put the 223 right there with the 204
