Go Bears

I love the Black and Blue Division. And I ain't a Johnny come lately either.

I go back to the Sayers and Piccolo days. Of course this isn't the same type Football from the old days.

I liked the old days better, Before you had people high jumping over the line etc.

Best wishes, Bill

I don't go back as far as Billy but I do love the Black and Blue and I do remember Gale Sayers. 29-13 ain't a bad way to start the season. GO BEARS!!!!

Go Vikes!

I grew up with Fran and John Gilliam, Fred Cox. Outdoor stadium where the Mall of America now stands. The true black and blue days. Bud Grant wouldn't even let them have heaters and loved to have Miami, Cowboys and other southern teams come play in December!

Unfortnately, I have to work tonight for the GB vs Vikes and my adopted AFC team Broncos vs Raiders ... man talk about bad karma 2 fer 2.

I feel for the newbie in GB, Farve had a good outing yesterday so the pressure will be on the new kid. The cheeseheads are more forgiving than the northeast though.

Ah yes the Purple People Eaters, Eller, Page, Marshall and Larson.

When I was Stationed at Grand Forks AFB we'd head down to Minneapolis for a Sunday game. 0° at game time or colder, and we'd have a ball.

Went twice after the indoor stadium and it's just not the same, haven't been back since and won't go back.

'Member Marshalls wrong way touchdown? Or how about the Chicago Cardinals? Or the Vikings first Professional game when they beat the Bears. Wow!

Best wishes, Bill
