Oklahoma 25c piece.
Finally making it back to Oklahoma, in time for the final four states to have their commemorative quarter issued, I was very curious about the Oklahoma quarter. Especially after I posted the gag article I found about the ‘new quarters’ jamming vending machines, the two dimes & nickel taped together.
Before I saw it I had visions of buffaloes, or dream catchers or maybe even a Native American warrior on the hunt…………..but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! We got the scissor tailed fly catcher…woo-bloody-hoo. Ah yeah, I know in New York City, when they think of Oklahoma, I know they think A-Rednecks B-Indians C-Corn or something you can’t grow in Brooklyn on a massive scale, or even the dreaded tornados. I really doubt the state bird sparks visions of Oklahoma. I’d been happier if we did the tape and coins after all.

Have to agree Jon, lousy choice.
Whats wrong with Rogers, Mantle or Bench? Did they have Halitosis and their antiperspirant fail? Best wishes, Bill |

No DY it ain't Bush's fault it's Sarah Palin's fault. I know Obama would agree.
