Question Used H&R value????

I am supposed to go to a co-workers house this weekend and look at his older H&R in .243 I asked him a price, and he said make an offer. I was going to start at $100, he claims it averages 1.5" groups with 90 grain bullets, but where should I stop?

I am strapped for cash, probaly going to abuse my VISA on this one, and don't want to 'rip my self off' Scope included, but I'd toss it any way, it's a Simmons which I don't mind, but I brought my VX-II with me (gotta have the #1 German post ), so please educate me..........................Jon

You can get it new in the $240 to $300 range. I think starting at $100 is fair depending on the scope on it. If there is a Luepold on it then $100 is kinda an insult. If there is a tasco then he should be paying you to take the scope.

H&Rs are DANGED accurate guns.
