Jim Shockey news

Please be advised ... to all who have heard a recent United
States political ad on the radio, the person speaking is NOT
Jim Shockey. We have received many e-mails from fans who have
mis-heard the person's name.

This radio ad is approved by the Obama campaign, and the speaker
is Ray Schoenke, the president of the American Hunters and
Shooters Association (AHSA). He pronounces his name such that
it sounds like "Shockey." Jim, obviously, has no affiliation
with this group.

We would GREATLY appreciate it if all of you who read this would
help to clear Jim's good name. As you can imagine, Jim has taken
some unfair criticism as a result of this mistaken identity.

The fact that people don't take the time to investigate the
facts before they lash out has caused substantial confusion.
Many of Jim's TV sponsors, licensees and business partners have
received e-mails and phone calls from angry consumers saying
that they will never again buy their products. As you can see,
this kind of error on the part of folks who rush to judgment can
turn into more than just a rumor. It can begin to impact an a
person's livelihood and reputation.

Here is a statement from Jim: "I am 100 percent for gun
ownership by law-abiding citizens. As a Canadian I cannot vote
in U.S. elections, of course, but I would never ever support
any candidate who is anti-gun."

Thank you for your support and helping to spread the word.
Please consider forwarding this important statement of fact to
any and all persons on your e-mail list so that they can help
us to clear Jim's good name.

Any one who has ever wathced his show should have known that there was a mix up. He is great and the show where he took his dad on the moose hunt was the best.

I cannot believe that the president of the American Hunters and Shooters Association would openly support Obama. These people are utterly nuts. Leatherman supported Kerry in the last election, and took an "I do not care how it affects my business" attitude prior to the election because he must not have thought it would have really affected his sales. That was his e-mail to me after I wrote him prior to the election and said I would never buy another Leatherman product. A couple of months after the election, he wrote a mass e-mail asking those of us that had previously written him, to think about what we were doing by boycotting his products because while his political view was pro Kerry, he still had employees that relied on him that did not take an outspoken view on the election. I guess he should have thought about that BEFORE he went and wrote what he did. I still haven't bought another Leatherman product four years later, and almost threw the one out that a friend gave to me as a present. When my brother in-law was looking for a multi-tool, I steered him toward the Gerber, which is what he ended up buying.

Fabs.... they are a left wing shill organization set up specifically to blunt the record of Obama and how that he is so "pro-hunter"...

They are a FRAUDULENT organization and hunters everywhere should rise up against them publicly.

Aloha... Tom

Rockeye,

I couldn't agree with you more. The one I got as a present is hardly, if ever, used. It is a backup to the backup.
