Governor's Palace, Williamsburg

I spend an hour touring this place on Wednesday. It was incredible. Inside the Palace foyer and up the main staircase, were 504 flintlock rifles and pistols hanging on display. Many were original and the balance were reproductions. If you have not seen this place, I recommend it.

The Armory and Magazine has about 200 muzzleloaders on display. The guide pointed out that they were reproductions.

All the best...
Gil

My wife and I visited there on our honeymoon (25 years ago) but were turn off when the costumed guides expected us to practice our bows and curtsies! We did nothing of the sort! There were so many people at the armory that you couldn't see anything! Never went back since!
