Just another whitetail

This might be an average whitetail in some locations but here in W. Pa. it is not every day you can get one of these and I wanted to share this guys trophy. I don't even know his name but took this on a cell phone. I guess he had been after him all archery season but couldn't get a shot... had to wait for rifle...I bet he couldn't sleep at nights.

That deer is a trophy pretty much anywhere. I've seen some people kill some pretty big deer in Maryland, but nothing like that.

Don't believe everything you read in an email

From Boone and Crockett watch list

Iowa 2006 October 30, 2008
This buck is making the email circuit again. This time reportedly from Iowa and Ohio.

Posted December 5, 2007

Emails are rampant on these two photos of a buck reported to score in the 220 range as a typical. This deer was taken on a high-fenced game farm. These types of animals are not eligible for inclusion into the records program.

Any time I see pictures like this I go to B&C, kind of like the snopes.com of big animals

here's the story

Yep Pety, I just found out myself it is one that is going around...Even if it had been pen raised, it is still one heck of a deer....just too bad it's not one that roamed our woods...and if it did, I don't think I could close my jaw long enough to shoot it....ah...oh well...still nice deer.

Petey, about 15 yrs ago the very guy that shot my beagle while bunny hunting, showed me his buck mount. It is a 22pt and believe me it is everything this photo buck is. His wife won't let him put on the wall because it takes too much room..He asked me if I wanted to display it over my fireplace and I said..No..( I not want someone elses deer there)...but it is a jaw dropper for sure and that one I did see with my own eyes...guess they are out there..just not often see them.....how has everyones deer season so far here?.... 7pt and one doe in freezor so far...waitin for after Holiday to get one more..something to do then....everyone saying numbers are down...also they been seeing tons of yotes...maybe that not helping the deer either?
