Finally got my reloading bench setup!

Havent needed to do any reloading in quite a while, do havent bothered! But now that I have a .204 on the way, and wifey has a 22-250 it looks like we are gonna need to start hand rolling some varmint gitters!

I dont have a lot of room for reloading, so am making due with what I have. Craftsman bench I got on sale really cheap, and took the original table top off, and put a 3/4" MDF top on instead.

Hoping I like where I have everything positioned...if not, then its a simple matter to move things around!!

Hoping to buy an RCBS chargemaster pro combo later this year...as long as work stays busy!!

Here are a couple pix:

That should work... need to dig my crap out of the garage and get some .40 loaded up... just might have to rearrange the garage so I can get my bench set up.

Capt

It sure do look good..But if it were me..I'd put two tops like the one you have on it. It'll last longer and the second I would use plywood. I also have a bench like yours except mine is a Kenendy with 1 1/2 inch maple top. The darn thing is compact and works just fine for most of what you need to do. I also have another bench that was built from the NRMA plans you can buy. It is very heavy and is what I use for doing my bullet swaging. I bought it from a fellow at a yard sale last year for 40 bucks..I also bought (quite) a few guns from him. My Kennedy doesn't have the back on it like yours does.. I'm jealous. It is also much much cleaner than any of mine. I'm very jealous Now go make lots of bullets...now I'll go clean my benches off. I really need to...Then I can go make bullets too.

BTW did ya have to put the whole thing together? Had to put my Kennedy loading bench together..What a pain!!

Only the finest beers allowed on that table

LOL! Yeah I had to build it...was pretty easy. I wouldnt mind another light or two yet...still pretty dark there!!

Im gonna see how the top holds up...not going to be loading anything really big yet...

I cant start making bullets though, seems .204 brass is in REALLY short supply these days!!!

Yep...brass is really getting short

If I had some 204 I'd let ya have some. Got lots of others..including 17 Rem but no 204. Lights help with the loading process.
