Red, she's adorable. Squeeze her once for me, willya?
It happens to be snowing here right now, but I don't expect more than a few inches. Probably a "one blow" storm, but maybe two. I kinda enjoy running the blowersnowerthrower - once in a while. Those monster dumpers where I have to be out there every three hours around the clock are less than fun, though. If you don't blow in the middle of the night, and right after the plows go by, you are NOT gonna be able to handle it in the morning. Two big storms like that in a row, and we haul the blowers up onto our roofs to keep them from collapsing. Good thing it's about over for this year. I already have snow peas in the ground, and have even played a round of golf! Between storms, it hit 60 last week!

Lilred,
Thanks for the pics! Reminds me of fun as a kid digging holes in the big drifts/plow piles. What a hoot! Simpler times, and much more fun than real life... LOL! I heard that my aunt in southern TN got a foot of snow, and my first cousin (game warden in eastern VA) was expecting a good bit - didn't hear how much he got though. Looks like the young 'uns really enjoyed it! Superb pics! gd

I can always tell it's late Winter and turning Spring here: the deer are getting desperate and come right down into the neighborhoods to find anything at all to eat. Last night, they pawed the snow away from all my boxwoods and ate them right to the ground. They were standing on my front porch as they ate. Kinda wish I'd have known and could have peeked out without spooking them. I don't begrudge them the eats, but it sure gets tiresome as well as spendy to plant new ones every year.
