Spring

So whats new on the "duffer" side of this Hunt Chat ? I am looking forward to working with my little English Setter and with the gas prices down some I might start the game bird hatchery back up for other dog trainers. Turkey season opens in April and we got a ton of them so thats a plus if the snow leaves lol and last but sure not least it is good to still be alive considering the **** I pulled in the younger days lol

We just back from Florida so I managed to get a little jump on Spring. After a couple of days nothing hurt anymore. Actually managed to get a little Dad Tan on my left arm. Went to the beach, lordy mercy, to be young again. Back last Saturday and everything started to hurt again.

Turkey starts her at the end of April. Pretty much ready to go. Looking foward to getting out. Fishing will get rolling in the next couple of weeks. Will be slow until late May or June but what the heck its better than sitting in front of the TV.

Its becoming a hobby just to located reloading stuff anymore. Thats on the adjenda. Bow needs to re-tuned. Another project.

House needs paining plus some of the rental property needs work. Spring and Summer will be gone before I know it.

Man I am heading South next year. We have had a snow storm from hell the last three weekends and another one today. ENOUGH = our average temp. this time of year is +50 and sure wish that "global warming" would hit soon.
Our turkey season starts the middle of this month and I have to find the "white" camo lol

Red face It looks like the latest snow storm is going to hit the southern part of Mich!!! LOL

It has been a long time since we had an old fashioned winter but it wasn't as bad as you got hit with, Nullie.

Maybe a couple of days of lake effect later this week and then it is susposed to warm up. Finally!!!

I went scouting turkeys with my son this week end. He will not be huntng with me this year as he is leaving this Friday for a job in Nigeria. He hopes to be back on vacation in May 2010 to hunt with me. It has been a few years since we have been able to hunt turkeys together so I guess one more is not that bad.

That just leaves my grandson and some friends to hunt with me this spring. The grandson is 15 and 3 for 3 so far. I keep reminding him he will some day join the fraternity and miss one. We do not hunt untill the first part of May. That way it might get snow out of it's system.
