I am used to that...all of our ATM's in Canada are bi-lingual...it is required BY LAW here that service is provided in English and French.

Go to Quebec where they have LAWS in place that ENGLISH signs have to be smaller, and placed BELOW FRENCH signs....ya....

well in quebec it should be that way cause french is the main language english is the second language.

No other provinces has laws in place saying which language should be more prominantly displayed...so wtf should Quebec say that French signs have to be larger and placed above english signs?
Its supposed to be a free country where all races, religions, creeds, and belief are treated equally. And it is, unless you live in Quebec and dont speak french. You may also want to reconsider that reasoning, the predominant language in Metro Vancouver is Cantonese. There are many peoples in the prairie regions that speak GERMAN. Where should we draw the line?

Most of the Europeans know English because tourism used to drive the economy until the Euro came along and made it way too expensive. I went to Italy in 2001 when the lira was still in place and almost everybody I ran into spoke English.

In my grocery store I have the same thing...I dont push anything because I am in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA darnit....that little machine must feel my rage, cause it continues in ENGLISH and lets me transact
