Hornady SP Interlock vs. SST question
I aquired a box of 250 130gr .277 Hornady SST's from a friend and I was thinking about loading up some mild rounds for my wife's .270 WSM to get her used to shooting something that can whack down a elk. The problem is that I cannot find any information on loading these SST bullets, but I can find a plethora of good loads using Hornady's SP/Interlock bullets. What the heck is the difference? I heard through the grapevine that you can load the two bullets similarly, but I'm not taking any chances. I've heard good things about the knowledge on this site so I figured this would be a good starting point.

Yes you can interchange the load data for the SST and the Interlocks. The B. C. on the SST is .460 and on the Interlock it is .409. The SST is a longer bullet and Hornady's recommends a COAL of 2.785 with the SST. Of course that might be different for your gun.
