Don't Think They Liked ExSIL

Skeet, thanks for your tips on garage sales.....wife n myself drifted by one in one of the higher end areas south of me. While wife was going over some bedding, dad asked if I saw anything...I mentioned guns/ammo/loading....daughter..about 30, mentioned a "rifle that was her X's"..
Said I'd look at it...drug out a Bob Allen case, had a like new Marlin 60 in it. I'd been looking for a knock around for a small camp gun....we discussed it...
mom also brought out a box of stuff..said I'd just as well take it too.....didn't look at it...just paid and put in car.
Got home, I had 4 bricks of Peters .22, 4 boxes of 30-30, a set of B&L
earmuffs, Buck belt knife. All this for a $50 bill....been a pretty good morning.
Dan

Oh yeah, also, a cheap Weaver 22 scope n mounts was on the gun......guns no high end, but, I dang sure came out on this un!!!

Yep

An you outta be ashamed of yerself. $50 bucks?? I bought a couple of guns this weekend myself .Bought a Mauser(Mex) in 7mm for 50 bucks and a Jap 7.7 for 40 bucks. Even got a box of Norma 7.7 ammo. Both were in decent shape..Not great. Also bought a Bench (for loading) with drawers etc. Evven had a small vice on it . Paid 25 bucks. Think I did ok on that for sure. Let a Pacific press go for 25 bucks. I have a couple of 'em and this one had a 30-30 ram in it. I did offer 10 bucks..but just for ebay er somethin.. I sure didn't need it. Got a nice almosty unused Sears Belt sander for 5 bucks. Bought it so momma can use it. hehehe Think the Jap is sold already. And the other day I picked up a couple thousand Nosler 69 gr HPBT .224 bullets for 150 bucks. Tried a few in my Bushmaster already. Shoot pretty good with the first load I tried. Gonna sell some.

Dan you follow my suggestions and you'll have more guns than you'll need. You did good!!

Hey Dan

It's blind hog...and you ain't one of 'em. The two rifles I bought weren't in the yard(garage) sale. I bought some other tool kinda stuff for 10 bucks in a tool box worth more than I paid for all of it. When I asked about the bench the guy said yeah..he wanted to sell it. An off the wall statement by me(ol sneaky peke) got me the guns. All I said was ... after making sure there wasn't anybody else around.... my reloaders would go pretty good on the bench..So he piped right up with are you interested in guns?? "Huh? Who??Me??? NAW!!! but if ya twist my arm a little bit I could be made to take 'em off yer hands." I bought a nice Browning BBR not long ago just like that. In 270 Win. Pretty guns but I ain't a Browning fan!! I also have a BBR in 7 mag. The 270 is going out the door tomorrow. I am accumulating a fair amount of factory ammo at farm and estate auctions etc too. But every body is looking for reloading stuff at sales too. Lots of auctions coming up now. And the pawn shops are really rocking all of a sudden. People need money Heck I've even thought about getting a job........Nah...too much like four letter words love..lust ...wife...work
