Strange, Old Truck Came Home

Bout a year ago, kid traded a 99 Silverado to Broadway Dodge in Littleton Co for a 3/4 ton Ram Turbo Cummings 4X4. Yesturday, Aurora PD notified me that the 99 was in PD impound and still registered to me!!!!
I went and looked at it...good condition. Was advised that I could bail it out and get dup title. I paid $298...put my dealer plate on it and drove it home....
man, somewhere someone is gonna be ticked! Dealer License Bureau was the one whut told me to do this!
Ya gotta love the car rackets!......Dealer stated they know not what I'm talking about! 103K on a 99 4X4! Better than a garage sale find!
Dan
Only thing I can think of is a in house carry for some employee.....never registered, just kept temp plates on it....I called GM at dealer first.....he denied any knowledge of vehicle...buddy at DLB and Trooper said it legally beloned to me!!!!!!Gonna get dup on Monday!

Nope Dan..

It is now found in the garage.. So it must be a garage sale find... Ain't you feeling just a little bit guilty about now?? Seriously good for you...

Skeet....nope....dealer was required to surrender original title...they didn't....then, they could find NO record of VIN in computer....dude at impound was the one that told me not to blow this off......was a nice vehicle
and was gonna be sold at auction! I told him and Trooper there the whole story...they chuckled and said to go for it! Dup title is no problem......man, driving it home ya had to keep the windows down from the WEED....I never fell into a thing like this before! Kid came by a few minutes ago..." where did you get Maverick?" His name for it!

The only difficulty will be if you ever get pulled over - with all that weed smell. Most cops would know from your demeanor and looks that your story of "I bought it at impound and it just smells this way" is probably the truth. But that first whiff will get him all excited, for sure.

Dan,

FIRST: Increase your church pledge!

SECOND: Get some skunk lure/odor and liberally apply to the truck's interior.

I like it when a story turns out well.

Doe in Heat urine will cover up ANY smell. But you won't be welcome in resturants, Churches, or any place other than maybe wal-mart anymore. . . .
