Yard Sale guns etc

Well I got an early start on yard sales today. Some people just have more time than money. Guy had a yard sale not too far from home. Got a couple boxes of 454 Casull once fired brass from him. Asked if he had any guns fer sale and lo and behold..I got me a couple of nice handguns from him. Both are 99% or better. First is a nice High Standard Sport King M..paid a bit too much for it but really nice. 2nd was a Colt Trooper Mk III..357 8 inch..cylinder has hardly been turned. No box and I paid a bit too much but I just couldn't resist. Also saw one of them bad ol Remington rifles in the free trader rag. 760 Pump in 243 kinda useless caliber in that pump but the price was extremely right. When I got there to look at it..had a 4x Leupold on it. 250 bucks and he gave me 2 boxes of factory ammo. I gotta stop buying this stuff. Gonna give the 243 to my grandaughter to use I think.

Well

I know I did ok on most of the stuff I've bought...but I kinda feel sorry for the people when they HAVE to sell stuff like this just to pay the bills. Sad state of affairs. And the gummit ain't helpin us any either. Just puttin us farther behind the eight ball I have an old American Rifleman here from 1935 and the stuff people were advertising then just to pay the bills parallels the things going on today

Most Yard Sales

You have to hit early. I actually found 2 guns at a yard sale that included mostly kids clothes and toys. Guy had a box of 380 auto bullets out there next to an electric knife sharpener. The slow turning kind. It came home for a buck. The wimmin lookin fer clothes weren't interested in bullets but I was. Asked and bought a couple of guns from him.. No great shakes but heck..I did ok. The other things I bought quite frequently back in Md was reloaders..usually Mec shotshell loaders. Did get a nice RCBS A2 press from one sale though
