Went to a couple of yard sales today
And I know I did GOOD. As stated in the single shot thread I got a bunch of factory new 38-55 cases so I'm probably gonna do the 30-30 pre 1900 action in 38-55.
I acquired some other odds and ends though. First is a Dillon 550B with 7 cal conversions...no dies. I don't usually do Lee dies. The cals are 223 30-06 38-357 9MM 40 S&W 44 Mag and 45 Auto. Dillon Electronic scale and those little stands for the tool heads (7 of them also) next I got an old Herter's Super Model 3 with 8 shell holders and the adapter to use RCBS shellholders. Various odds and ends for Herters including a set of 7.65 Argentine dies and a couple boxes of new Norma brass for 7.65. Also got a Lyman #45 cast bullet sizer with a couple sizing dies and sticks of lube a nice RCBS powder measure with both drums an old Redding powder scale still in the box and probably last of the bigger stuff an old Texan metallic turret press. This thing is even heavier than the Herters press. Got other odds and ends for shooting and tomorrow I'm gonna go look at some of the guns he has for sale when I go back to pick up the 60 gal air compressor I bought. The loading stuff cost me a whole ...well lets just say it was less than 150 bucks. Also bought a Stihl chain saw in really great shape for 20 bucks. Cuts good. I love good yard sales. Bought a set of snowshoes at another..new hi tech aluminum type..for 20 bucks. Haven't used those thngs in years. I remember that until I got used to 'em..they really made you sore from the odd way of walkin. Oh got a nice little Rem 700 ADL for momma today in 243. Gonna sell her 257 Roberts..or the other 257 AI I have. Haven't decided which yet.. Maybe both as I have the MkV Weatherby 257 Mag

Yard sales etc
PC I always ask..This one yesterday was a moving sale and they are almost always pretty good.
I looked at the guns today and did acquire a nice little single shot Iver Johnson 410 for 30 bucks and a Stevens lever action rifle..M-430 I think..It is in 30 Remington. But the price was pretty good(250)...and I have about 6 boxes of 30 Rem ammo. It is actually just an upgraded 425 Lever action with checkered wood. They didn't make many of the darn things So I may be able to sell it and make a bit of profit. Not too much of a lever gun fan. I'll probably use the profit to build the 94 action..if I can find someone to bore and rifle it. Guy had an old 1100 probably first year as it still had a steel gas ring rather than the rubber one. But since I have many of them I passed on it as it was a plain bbl and full choke. Price was 250 on it too.Got some other little odds and ends but nothing earth shattering. Stopped at another yard sale today just as they were closing down and did get an old(late 70's) 9.9 horse Yohnson Outboard motor. In good condition with what feels to be good compression. No salt use here ya know.30 bucks.. Now I am gonna have to go through it and clean carb new water pump and general tune. Actually got it to start with a shot of ether. When I moved here I gave a friend back east my little john boat and late 70's 7 1/2 Yohnson. He has lots of fun with it. Now I'll have to find a small john boat
