heres the text part:

One place I found this story online --- http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/mod...ane-21192.html

WHOA NELLIE!!! This unsuspecting pilot/fisherman was returning home from a fishing trip in Alaska. During a stop over still in bear country a bear must have got wind of the fish smell still in his Piper PA-18. The pilot obtained two new tires, 3 cases of Duct Tape, and several rolls of a cellophane material to get him home. ......................

FIJI, Had a horse do that to the elevator on a Piper Tri-Pacer. Forgot to close the gate on the corral we parked the plane in. Send me the pictures so I can relive that incident. We put duct tape on the elevator and flew to a repair station. The airframe mechanic got a good laugh out of that but said it isn't the first he had seen. larryjk@tribcsp.com
