Welcome aboard deputy56. Now, get to posting some. Since I cannot hunt right now, I want to hear about everybody else hunting. Heck, saw a post about 2 new 22's, and I was all over Volquartsen's website looking at new ones. LOL

Welcome Deputy 56 drag up a stump and a cool one.

Fabs, just for you, I was up at the farm yesterday trying to do some finals on my floating dock, I will have to go back, but that is another story. The neighbor came by so I asked if his step son John had seen anything last Sunday. As I was leaving on Sunday John had drove up, said he was going to sit a stand for a couple of hours, it is bow season here. Anyway John got a nice doe about a hour before dark. As he was carting her out, he crossed the fence line that I had cleared, without a fence, and have planted with winter rye grass. John said he stopped and watched 13 deer in one heard, standing in the grass, busy munching away, at about 300 yards. I am shure they will be scarce in about 3 weeks.
Best,
Ed

Congrats on yet another member...Hc is the place to find information on about anything..There are some real helpfull people in this club.

For those that can't make it to the woods just yet, Little story..as I can't make it out very often myself, just the other day I had the last 3 hrs of light so figured hike to woods with bow, sit awhile...Had a squirrel scurry down a tree and jump over my pant leg...I love Alpenflage camo this time of year..then I had clear shooting lanes all but directly behind me..well figures that is where I heard a deer sneak up from..it walked past me out of the thick so close I could of grabbed it by the scruff of neck..it was a little button..as it passed me, it must of winded me as it jumped about 4 quick leaps and stopped broadside..looking back..I just thought what a nice photo that would of made as it walked away...
