Well it looks like the economy

Is finally catchin up out here in Wy. Did a gun show this last weekend. People sure ain't spending like they did even back in August. I did sell a whole bunch of little stuff like bullets ammo etc and lots of powder. Primers are coming available now and the price has gotten down under 30 bucks. Only sold a couple of cheaper guns. Think I spent more than I sold. Got a couple of good rifles. A nice Ruger 77 tang safety in 300 Win mag with a Leupold VX II 2x7 and a really neat pre 64 Winchester 100 in 284 Winchester. Was offered a pretty Rem 722 in 257 Roberts but thought the price was a bit high. As usual I bought a bunch of little things like Wilson neck reamers and shell holders a few bullet moulds and dies etc. Best buy I made was a Hollywood Senior press in exc condition with 4 shellholders and a RCBS shellholder adapter. Not that I needed it but the price was right if ya know what I mean. Just an observation on the state of the economy but stuff sure wasn't selling and lots of people coming around with guns for sale..some at very fair prices. The dealers at the show have lowered prices a bit too..which is unusual. They're needing the money too. Only one that really sold a bunch of stuff was a fellow whose wife was just diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Everybody kinda bought some things from him to give him some operating capital. You never have enough money when it comes to sickness in the family. He lives down the road from me and mainly sells antiques etc. His wife is a really nice lady.

Yep, I don't think we are going to see the hey day that we saw over the last 10 years anytime soon. However, once the money starts flowing Americans will be right back to spending again. I don't think hardly anybody will have learned anything from this, but such is life.

I look at my Mother and Father and some of the older generation and their spending habits. I see a lot of that coming back from the over 40 folks. The downside is the under 40 kids will be spending like crazy on the newest and best.

I know I have been taking a second and third look at purchases
