Berretta choke tubes

What do the notches on the choke tubes stand for? Can't find the answer in the book that came with mine. Help me please.

Goody, Stand the chokes side-by-side and line them up in increasing number of notches on the leading edge. You will see that the one without any notches is the full and down in descending order to imp. cyl. that, if I remember without looking at my chokes, that has four notches. The more notches, the more open the choke.

Larry is correct. I believe those are the old Mobilchokes, or whatever they used to be called before Beretta went with the Optima chokes. Of course, I could be wrong and they could be flush fitting Optimas. The only Optimas I have are the color coded ones, which really suck once the lettering is worn off the choke because I can never remember what each color means. Plus, the colors on the Briley tubes are different.
