Question S&W K frame question...

I get a little confused when I go "By the numbers"

Did S&W make a nickle plated version of the M19, and if so, did it go by a different number designation, or was it just known as the "nickle plated S&W M19"?

Also, is there a good S&W website that has all the dope on the various model numbers?

Thanks in advance........

Had one years ago, like in 66. They were Model 19 Nickel Finish, mine was a snub nosed one that I carried as a back up or in plain clothes. It was a nice revolver, but the short ejection rod was not made for .357 empties, stroke was too short. But yes they were Md. 19s, and the Finish was listed on the end of the box.

Thanks popplecop.....I have my eye on a 66 right now on one of the websites. The M19 was the first 'real' handgun I ever fired (my Uncle's service revolver); I remember the trigger pull being quite smooth. I haven't seen any M19's in nickle finish for sale, so I wasn't sure, but I did see some M65's (fixed sights).....
Thanks again...........
