S&W 9mm Revolver model 547

Getting to old to shoot. Anybody have any idea what a S&W 9mm Revolver model 547 is worth? New in the box.

razmuz,

The 547 was introduced in 1981 and discontinued in 1985. It came in 3" or 4" barrel with fixed sights. I toured S&W in 1981 and fired the first production guns on their range. I understand S&W made them for the French Government because they had millions of rounds of 9mm ammo in inventory.

My issue of "Gun Values" lists the 547 at $250-$350 depending on condition. Hope this helps.

Adam

9 mm Revolver

I think Adam is correct about the French contract. The darn things would supposed shoot any 9mm based round as it had a unique extractor wire or whatever..so they could even shoot the 380s and 9mm longs. Oh I can't remember it all. Neat guns. I am not however a 9mm fan. I do however really like the 44 spec and 45 auto.
