Got 3 states planned for this spring....will let you know how it all pans out.

Heading to VA in a couple weeks, back in time for the PA youth to get my boy a bird, then into NY and PA the upcoming month of May

May 3rd for me.

I buy my tag over the counter in January and let the guys that gotta have the first hunts enter the drawings. They get one week and I get the rest of the Month of May.

I guess they do not have enough confidence in there abilities so they have to have first crack at the birds. Our group always fills out in the late season.

Here in Virginia our season doesn't start until Saturday, April 10th. About a month too late as usual!!! I'll be out there though even though most of the birds will already have a bunch of hens with them.

Unable to go this year.....can't get the time off work, mom's having major surgery that month, daughters coming back from college, ect, ect.

Best of luck to all you turkey slayers with your upcoming seasons!

I'm gonna have to skip Turkey this year. My bride is having some major surgery and I will forever be known as Nurse Buckhunter if I attend to her every need. Other wise I just as well jump off a clif.

Was not sure could make 1st day but managed 15min into season 91/2 beard that came runnin in to decoys a yellin. Took friend 2x but had hens take 3 toms from us. Had birds zzzz about 70yds out few times then too but again boss hen kept them there. Not able to get my 2nd bird since tried knee surgery on myself with my chainsaw cuttin wood..and I know better than run my saw left handed too..but made it. Ouch! Did have worries about 1st day since had 3 more stents placed between 2 already in one bypass graft only 2 wks prior to open day..just had to hold shotgun out from body a little but worked..lol..cut breast in slices like bacon..then rolled slices in bacon strip, pin with tooth pick... bake 300 till bacon done and eat..mmmmm..great way to cook them....just remember...."don't let what you can't do stop you from doing what you can do"
