Kent Fasteel Waterfowl, 12 Gauge 3" VS. Winchester Steel Expert High Velocity, 12 Gauge 3"

I have used the winchesters in the past and have not had trouble with them at all. i have just heard a lot about Kent Fasteel. which is better?

I kinda did a bunch of waterfowling..not too much on steel. Worked on guns too. Had 3 guns brought to me that were all ruined..using Kent..I think it was just a one lot problem..but I swore off Kent for the most part..except for the Tungsten Matrix. Kent offered nothing to the guys with the ruined guns. Accepted no fault. Heck one of 'em was standing right next to me when it happened. Barrel looked like a snake that had swallowed 3 or 4 eggs. Had no trouble with TM..in fact I like it. Steel sucks

Surprized about the FastSteel, first I'd heard of it myself. On some of the duck sites it highly thought of. I use Kent Matrix and have for some years, thankfully I bought it when on sale some years ago, also got some on closeouts. When useing steel shot have had great results Federal Blackcloud and Win. Drylock. If I find Faststeel on sale, I'll pass, thanks for the heads up Skeet.

Skeet, Was the problem with the "original" Kent steel that the crimp didn't have a watertight seal and moisture would cause the shot charge to rust into a steel slug, which would play real hell with the choke section of the barrel? That was my understanding. Also, I am a real fan of the Federal Tungsten Iron for geese. Rips them out of the air.

yeah i think im going to end up going with the same ol' winchester super x's. they are cheap, reliable in my 11-87, and most importantly cheap.
