After Season Refit of Muzzleloaders.

I like all my ML arms and now that all deer seasons are over and it is -12.5 degrees outdoors, I will spend the day refitting reliable arms. I will send an email to Al Gore and question his GLOBAL WARMING Thesis! Whatever he "Knows", it does not apply to northcentral Pennsylvania.

In my gun room, I put down old newspapers and strip all ML arms, one per each newspaper location. I put a coat of boiled linseed oil inside and out of each stock and put them downstairs near to the woodstove in the living room.
In the gun room, I lightly oil all gun locks after cleaning and wipe down all iron work.

Muzzleloaders are fun guns. I suppost I have enough, but one more is acceptable. This year will be my 14th year on the Black Powder Station at our Annual Youth Field Day in Tioga County, PA. We run through groups of 15-20 kids per half-hour to the tune of 150 kids for the day. I like the experience and I see the kids around town for the rest of the year.

We have 5 guns that need cleaning real bad after a day of educating the next generation. We refit those guns for the next crew with lots of great banter.
