Wore out my artificial knee

Well after 21 years the bone doc. says it's time to replace my artificial knee. Had to work it in this spring as I have a turkey permit from 4-20 to 4-24, so havint the surgery on the 25th. Will foul me up on hunting turkeys later in May. Bad thing is he wants to look at my artificial hip which is only 9 yrs. old, but is giving me a lot of pain somedays. But hey, these are the Golden Years.

Yea, those gloden years are the years you spend all of your gold just to get through. I had a knee bothering me pretty bad a while back so went to the Doc. He gave me some pill and told me to go get my knee X raid. After that he said go see a specialest. When I got to him they took an X ray of my other knee before I got to see him. When he came in the room the first thing he ask me was if I was still walking on those things. Well I`m still walking on them and putting off the bionic man roll as long as posiable.

Catfish, I was that way the first time, but the pain made my decission for me. As I was only 50 they tried other methods, but then installed the artificial knee, pain gone immediately. If this one lasts 21 years I'll proberly pass on the third one.

I hear you. So far I have a prescribition for my knee, but only take it when my knee bothers me and a couple of pill will fix me up for a month or so. I`ll hit 65 in Oct. so I`ll put it off at least that long, and longer if I can.

Well got the replacement installed April 25th. Still in the recovery mode, have advanced to walking with a cane. It sure was easier to do the therapy when I was in my 50s. Oh well guess that's why these are the Golden Years.

Well she is 10 mos. younger, but very quick, I have to sneak up on her. Knee came back well, thanks for the inquiring, that's the good news. I have a personally set limit of one replacement a year next year will either be gettting 10 yr old artificail hip replaced or a artifical knee in the left leg. I have to schedule these things right after spring turkey season so I'm healed up by the fall.
