Cool What have I started?

So a buddy approaches me this morning and says "Hey I have a buddy who owns a old deep V hull 1960s boat that is in just about mint condition. He don't have a trailer for it, but his wife wants it out of the yard you want it?" ... Another buddy hearing this goes "You want a 12ft Jon boat? My brother has one that his wife wants out of the garage."

WHAT THE HECK! I been itching for a boat for years and nadda. Now all the sudden I buy a boat, start looking for an outboard, and I dunno if I have enough property to handle all the free boats I am being offered!

Sheesh...... My wife is gonna kill me....

Remember that there are two happy days in a boat owner life. The day he buys it and the day he sells it.

What gets me is how many BIG boats are out there. Other than a few big lakes most of our water is WAYYY to shallow for how much them big babies draft....

Biggest problem is finding a safe place to use them. Too darn meeting high powered boats out there, also so called personal watercraft. Best of luck with your new adventure GoodolBoy.

Well the good news about that is if you run a boat highball up and down the Neches River where I will be doing most of my fishing at some point I will get to give you a ride from the stump you impaled your $40k+ toy on over to the alligator and cottonmouth infested shore.... might even be able to make some cash thataway
