The World Taxidermy Championships are happening right now in St Charles, MO. I leave in the morning to see the entries in both Taxidermy and fish carving. I'm also meeting with some of my Outfitters and guides that specialize in trophy bird hunts. We're already booking waterfowl in Iceland/Greenland, South Africa-Zimbabwe, Argentina etc., but now we're in Alaska. Hunting those unique sea ducks, Eiders, Harlequins, Old Squaw's, Scoters, Brant, etc., ranks at the top for trophy bird hunts. I'll try and post some pics next week.

That's a great mount with the two redheads and the can; I'd like to do something like that with 5-6 different species on one large piece of drift wood (one with ducks, the other with upland species).
I'd really like to see that cross fox mount that is in the back ground of that pic...that looks neat as well.

The center bird is a Redhead-Canvasback hybrid. Here's a Pacific and two King Eiders done for a coffee table style mount. Jerry Froelich on the left, Capt Charlie Summerville on the right. The detail in this mount in outstanding.

That would be a very cool show to attend. I'll have to try and get out there one of these years - preferably sooner than later.

It may be held in St Louis next year. Not set just yet but that was the talk I heard. It's well worth a visit.
