"I got a few Old Army Guns."
Today, I drove off to do some Saturday Morning Yard Sale Bidness, eh, wot??? Fortunately, I had $500 in "Gas Lease" money in pocket. I hit a few yard sales full of toys, kids clothes, etc. I was about to come back home and cut firewood, but I went by one last yard sale of junk. I was about to leave when the lady of the house said, "I have Some Old Army Guns" in the cellar. I went into the cellar and was stunned!
WHAT A STASH! I never saw such a pile of stuff and determined it was ONLY because the former owner was deceased and nobody had a clue about values, eh, wot? I peeled off my cash and said, "I have $500 and will take it all." She said, "Agreed." She helped me load my truck with the stuft. Oh, wot a country? I am cleaning and greasing nice stuft. Adam

As we all know, a cellar is a poor place to store guns. The dampness was not kind to metal or wood stocks. I have the following: -An N. P. Davis&Sons 10 or 12 gauge buttstock for a double gun. -3 sporter black synthetic stocks for bolt action arms like the Rem 700. -2 Enfield MkIII stocks and hardware. I foolishly thought there were two MkIII rifles therein, but nah. Bummer. -A M1903 Spfld straight grip stock and hardware. No barreled action therein, BUMMER II. -6 Old Reloading Manuals (Circa 1960s) that are musty smelling so they are in the sun on the porch. -8 loading trays, some wood, some plastic. -A 7.35mm Terni M-38, a 6.5mm M41 Carcano Carbine, a 6.5mm Swede M-38, a Hex receiver M1891 Mosin Russian, a M1910 Ross .303, an 8mm Hynyang 8MM rifle akin to the German M1888 Commission Rifle and a M1911 Swiss rifle. I am working on restoring arms to servicable condition. Adam

The 1903 stock is Very Good with very few wood dings. The hardware is about good. I have 4 floorplates/trigger guards, so pick the one you want to complete the set. Bring me some 200 and 300 yard NRA rifle targets and take what you want from the heap. Adam

Correction needed: I checked the floorplates and both are stamped M1903A3. The other two were Turkish Mausers or whatever. The bands are also M1903A stamped. You may have them if you can use them. Besides 200 and 300 yard targets, bring a gallon of G.I. Bore cleaner in original packaging and we are even, 10-4? A few "sleeves" of GI cfleaning patches would also go well. The M1903 stock has an "EHD" cartouche and "OGD" which indicates it has a WWII overhaul. I will never need it and if you can refit a genuine WWII M1903, so much the better. The butt plate is on the stock, but I have no original M1903 front band or upper sling swivel. This is to prevent you from driving to get such stuff under false hopes. REMEMBER: Yesterday on May 28, 1951, it was 60 years ago we finished our First Grade at the one-room Franklin Hall School 30 miles NW of Philadelphia and we endured outhouses until 1954 when we moved to the two-room school house in Chester Springs. My how we have changed. We close firehouses and police stations and build new ones in Iraq. We also build schools with flush toilets for an 8th Century culture who never had running water. We surely have come a long way! Adam
