Name that Cartridge

For some fun, I went through some cartridges I had lying around. See how many you can get right. I will post the answers in a few days.

O.K., just spitballin' here....from L to R (smallest to biggest)

1.) .22 Winchester automatic

2.) ?

3.) .300 Savage

4.) .25/35 Winchester

5.) .30/40 Krag

6.) .32-40

7.) .45-120

8.) .43 Spanish

9.) .50/70

10.) .577 Martini

Did I get any of them right?

Well I was pretty close till I got to the one after the 30-40. I did know the Martini too. The 2nd I figured either the 244 or the 257 AI

Pretty much the same for me - the smokeless stuff I had, but the BP cartridges- not so much.

Well, I guess I didn't do too badly.....I never HEARD of some of those cartridges!!

I wish I had the guns for some of the cartridges there. I have 2 if them. The 22 win auto & the 244 (I have a 6mm). I had to look some of them up to identify. I gave some more that I can't identify yet too. They all came from my wife's late uncle who was a gunsmith
