.085 over max. lenth

I found something I`ve never found befor. I bought 500 pieces of Win. 220 Swift brass and they ran ,o85 over max. lenth. I have found brass way under trim lenth, but never over max. untill now. I never check lenth but champfered mouthes and started loading. When I started seeing presure signs with a relitive lite load I could not believe it. From now on I`ll check the lenth of every bag of new brass I get.

I've never seen new brass that much over length, either, Catfish.
I have seen 1 or 2 in a batch that were longer than the rest, but not anywhere near what you ran into.

Nothing is what it used to be, but my Win brass here lately has been over all, pretty sorry on the QC end. Win's version of QC seems to involve just throwing the product in the box. I have switched to Rem on all my brass where I can do so.

All my have to, Win stuff gets checked over very close. Sorry state of affairs as they were my #1 go to brass for years and years.

OOPS, Some dumby can`t read dial calipers. For some stupid reason I read the wrong side of the dial, they were actuciall alittle shorter than trim to lenth. My problem came from a custom rife that had a short neck in the chamber, Yea, I know that had nothing to do with not being able to read the calipers. First mistake I ever make, since the last one.

Ho, Ho.... wish I could say I have never mis-read a caliper. But, unfortunately it happens to us all. truly one of the: "There are those that have and those that are going to" deals.
