I went way Back in Time yesterday!

Yesterday, I went to the Pharmacy for my prescription. I noticed nearby was a Yard Sale. I trekked over and saw a lovely Yamaha drum and stand for $2.00. The drum and stand now reside in the lower part of my barn. I stopped by the building supply place in town and paid $0.84 for a 36-inch long, 1/2 inch diameter wooden dowel rod for drumsticks. At my shop, I sawed the dowel rod two-ways and rounded the edges for drumstick matter.

I am relearning my old drum beats from circa 1960-now that is Back in Time.

Update on the Drum:

Last Saturday at a yard sale I got a pair of used drumsticks for 50 cents. I went to the barn and tapped out "The Flam" and various other beats. All was well until a neighbor came by and asked what I would take for the drum and BOTH sets of drum sticks! Since he lives a half mile away, I figured I finally got the hang of this drum business. And, no, the drum is NOT for sale. LOL.
