State by state guides?

Hello all;
Does anyone know of a website where I can get statistical data (unemployment rates, tax rates, ect) on the various states? I know I can probably get that data if I did the states individually, but I am kind of hoping that I can find something that will allow me a side by side comparison.
thanks in advance..........

Here's a link to the census bureau web site, you can type in the city or state or click the geography tab on the left side and a map of the US will open up, than just click on a state to find info.

I realize this isn't going to provide you with the information you're looking for, but if I were looking to live anywhere in the US it would be North Dakota or South Dakota. Low unemployment, low taxes and good people. Neither state is polluted with a large metropolis that votes against the will of good working people. Neither has budget problems and the housing market is stable. Everybody speaks & understands English. The potential hunting & fishing is fantastic too. You might have a hard time getting your wife to move there though....I think it's God's Country but it's not for everybody.

Thanks for the information, folks.....

M.T.:
I've been through both ND & SD (SD just recently).....can't say that I don't agree with you. Unfortunately, my job doesn't lend itself to just going anywhere. The plan is to follow our only daughter when she graduates in a year or so.....I sure hope to hell she doesn't end up in California, Mass, NY, or some other liberal state, and I sure hope that she doesn't come back home to MI, which is screwed up beyond all recognition.

I don't know what your occupation is, but look into Sioux Falls, Fargo or Grand Forks. They're large enough to support most occupation categories.
