Went hunting again.

Out behind the house.and down the ditch. Walked up on a bunch of whitetails. Shot a little spike buck with the 94 AE XTR. He ducked into the trees and went I guess about 30 yds or so. Went back to the house and got the 4 wheeler..Hey why drag when you can do it the easy way. Went back to the deer and lo and behold..there were 3 coyotes scoping that deer out..didn't even scare them with the 4 wheeler. Well I got one at about 30 ft with that little triente- triente. Couldn't work the action quick enough to try for a 2nd LOL. Bang and GONE

Skeet,
That is why I carry my Mini-14 all the time at the farm. Yotes and hogs. It will go bang, bang, bang.

Good on you getting your first deer of the season.

Ya gotta like a deer that drops where you can drive an ATV to it.

Skeeter, I think that land you see is in the Adirondacks. Very tough winters- the 10th mountain division trains there.
The land there is basically recreational. No services like water and sewer at much of it, and the bedrock is about 2 feet below the surface- nothing you can farm, for sure.
If you want a place for a cabin for hunting and fishing, you can find some good buys. Do look at it in person, and make sure it isn't vertical.
