This mild PA January means my classes are full.

Our January 2012 has been very balmy here in northcentral PA. It was 59 degrees and sunny last Saturday and today was sunny and 46 degrees. Normally, our mid-January is snowy and near zero. Many of my students have called and showed up for range sessions. The rain and sleet is forecast for tonight and through the weekend. I had full classes every day for the last week. We shot a lot and the folks benefitted from trigger time in January.

I have always shot outdoors all winter long unless it was blizzard conditions. In this day of gortex and other winter garmets, there is no reason to lay off range time in winter in these Northern lattitudes. You may need to use your CCW arm in January, so shoot on the range and experience a similiarity of conditions.

Adam

In Boston we have not had any snow at all this year. Central Mass got a little in October and al little since. Today is is raining and about 45 degrees. If it were up to me I would like just one snow storm. Thats enough for this old body to shovel. Been warm all fall and winter so far. This weekend it supposed to get cold with a high of about 22.

Wanted to shoot this weekend buy Honeydo season has commenced. Plus a grandkids bithday so the guns will stay indoors.

I agree Adam, even though my old joints sometimes protest. Finally got some snow, so some brass will have to wait till melt to get retrieved. Leaving for SHOT show tomorrow, but when I return have a new 1911 to break in.
