More PPC "Newbies".

We are fortunate to have doubled the number of participants in our Tuesday morning combat and PPC shoots at a local club. My neighbor (Tony), a retired U.S. Marshal, and I swap around running the PPC or Combat firing lines at our gun club. We are not yet running matches until we get all participants up to speed. Our focus is now on Safety, Accuracy and lastly Speed.

The club event costs $2 per Tuesday session to cover targets. We invite CCW folks to run the courses and also check out their chosen modes of carry; be it shoulder holster, direct draw holster and two guys had ankle holsters. It has been a learning experience for all concerned. The two guys with the ankle holsters went to inside the belt holsters the next Tuesday.

Unfortunately, many clubs will not allow "tactical" or whatever types of handgun firing from the holster to aid CCW folks get a "groove" on drawing, firing and hitting targets. Tony and I fill a void and the CCW folks appreciate the chance to do the drill until they get it right.

Next week, in addition to handgun combat and PPC, we will start tactical shotgun and tactical rifle into our training. NOT many folks in America get a chance to check out that shotgun they keep behind the bedroom door, or the AR they stow under their beds. If they were in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and had $2, a pair of retired federal lawmen would give them the opportunity.
