nail and dowel shotgun shell reloading.

Anybody ever used the nail and dowel method to reload shotgun shells? IE I am basically a BROKE bugger and I was wanting to load up a few 20 gauge shells for summertime hunts. I have powder and shot, although I need to figure a way to rig a slug mold for 20 gauge, I was hoping to find that somebody manufactured a rifled slug mold for them but no dice. Still have to pick up some more primers, but shotguns primers are comparatively cheap.

I wish I could find a reasonable old lee classic loader for 20 gauge, but alas they are going for gold standard prices on ebay these days and half of them aren't even complete sets.

I am probably going to just use fiber wads and shot cards on this project to keep the price in the dirt cheap range.

Thanks

GOB,

I saw a Lee Loader for 20 gauge last month at a yard sale for $10; it was complete and new in the box. If I see another one, I will send you a PM.

Lyman lists slug molds in their catalog, both 12 gauge and 20 gauge.
