Well it's been a while

Since i made a post of gun acquisitions....and dispositions. In the last 45 days.. I have picked up quite a few..and sold quite a few. Since i am not a military guy..I have sold all but 2 of the old Army guns. Picked up a Krag in good shape and a military marked 95 Win 30-40. Bores were surprisingly good in them. Then I got an 03 Springfield serial under 1.5 million. When I got it it had no front sight..and a fellow gave me one..so..I got rid of it and the other two at a gun show..the 95 bringing quite a bit. also got a Swede again..got it gone only mil guns I have left are a Peruvian mauser in 7mm and a really nice 1891 Argentine. It looks almost unfired except for the stock. At the last gunshow I traded a Kimber 45 for 2 Ruger Super BlackHawks and cash..one is new in the box..took a 29-3 Smith and cash on a 700 Rem 223. Another M-29 mountain gun and cash on trade for a Remington 6mm Varminter. Then gave a guy a Rem 742 in 308 and some cash for another Kimber 84..this one in 308 with a new VX II 3-9x40. I am getting quite a few Kimbers now. Also got a 4 screw Smith 28 4 in with Mershon rubber grips(Mershon was bought out by Pachmayr) and a holster and box of Winchester 357 Ammo. Gun has some holster wear but very tight..for 300 bucks..and got the original grips for the gun for..3 bucks. Traded the Smith mountain gun and 250 for a new in Box Kimber 25-06 yesterday. I had 300 in the 29 so did good on that. Picked up an as new 700BDL 270 for a friend and only paid 400..which I guess is pretty good now days Picked up a nice little Remington 22 pump for friends wife..paid what I consider a lot (225.00) but I guess they are going pretty high. She was happy. Sold the ol rem M-8 in 35 Rem. A few more unspectacular buys and sales but all in all doing ok..made 'nuff to buy a really nice Cooper Bolt Gun in 22-250..which is the last rifle I really need to buy for myself. Have made sure I picked up a bunch of primers in all flavors and a lot of powder and bullets....for after nobama getting re-elected. I keep hopin it won't happen..but am becoming more and more pessimistic. Went on a trip to Alaska..ain't been there in years...on one a them cruise ships.. Last cruise I was on was just too noisy..airplanes landin all hours of the day and night. This 'un was really too easy...I actually might go back on one agin..and the friend I hunt with called ..his wife had an any elk tag in our hunting area..and she tagged a nice 6x6 Bull this morning. First big critter she ever shot. Waiting on pics. He also told me he saw 2 wolves..too far to shoot(we now have a season) but he does have a tag..I live in the wolf predator zone with a shoot any non restriction. I want 4..one fer me one fer my grandson and one for the granddaughter...maybe one more for onea them other kids. 80 today..be 80 tomorrow and 75 early Wednesday... gonna be getting colder..25 Wed night..High of 40 on Thursday with snow Wed night Thurs and Friday.. Winter gonna be coming soon.
