Question

So I was talking to my buddies at work about wanting to order an AR with my tax return and one of them said that some manufacturers are holding, as in not filling right away, some orders. Anyone else heard of this? Is it for all firearm types or just certain ones, like ARs? Seems to me like they'd want to fill as many orders as possible before any possible bans/restrictions take effect. Info? Thanks

Tater,
That is contrary to anything I have heard from any source. The makers, rifles and uppers, are out of stock, everything is bought. There is a parts shortage even to build, if you have frames as a maker, you have few barrels, no lower parts, etc. Rather than sell parts, they are being held (this might be the confusion) to make whole rifles as missing or the shortage parts become available.

If I have 100K rifle orders back logged and no barrels right now, I will not turn loose of my other parts until I catch up on barrels and fill the 100K orders.

Everyone is building as fast as they can, making hay while the sun shines.
