I served in the USAF from 8-27-62 until 8-26-66. Today we had a parade in my small town and then we Civil War reenactors fired rifle salutes in our community Veterans' Memorial park.
I was 17 when I entered "Uncle Sam's Orphanage." It has been more than half a century since I resided in an open bay barracks, Number 5556, 3701 BMTS, Lackland AFB. My Service time counted for my federal pension from my career in federal service. My how the time has flown. Adam
