Bullet/Patch Lube

There are lots of bullet lubes out there and many folks make their own. I have done both with mixed results. My latest concoction is described below:

I got two tubes of Blue/Gray bullet lube a while back and noticed it was "soft." I mixed/melted in the microwave the Blue/Gray and a pound of Crisco. The result was a "Soft" bullet lube even too soft in 55 degree weather. I looked in my stash and found a large block of Beeswax about 12" wide, 18" long and 3" thick. I broke off about a pound of the BW and melted all the stuff together in a large plastic tub. Happily the result was a Firm Lube even in 75 degree weather.

Further testing will ensue.

Is this for lubing bullets when sizing or Black Powder stuff?
