Pdawgs after work Meet the 221 fireball!

Well I stopped for about 15 minutes the other afternoon on the way home from work. Thought I would see if I could get a few Pdaws. My weapon of choice for this day would be the Contender, with a 14", 221 fireball barrel. The load constited of Winchester brass, ignited by a Remington 7½ primer, powder was Lilgun and a 34 grain HP from Mid South Shooters Supply. Now while my shots on this day were all less than 125 yards, I have taken them out to just shy of 300 yards with this combination. I shot 4 times from the supported hood of the truck and got 3 dawgs. My first shot went high. The next three all found their mark. The wind was crossing at ~10 mph.

As you can see from the attached photo files this combination is quite effective. The Scope is a 2x8 Konas and it is the G2 model Contender.

Good shooting..and a lot of fun. I like the Contender also. I have one in Hornet K Hornet and 222. Sold my 221 Fireball. Just sold my 300 Whisper bbl for the Contender..also a fun shooter.. Not so much fun was the 45-70 Thank You Jesus bbl. Ya had tho thank him every time ya pulled the trigger on it..painful after 5 or 6 rounds..
