My $15 Ground Blind.....

A recent yard sale rendered up a 6 foot X 6 foot 76 inch high camo teepee ground blind which now reposes in my West Woods here on the farm. It has the carbon inside business to reduce my scent bidness.

My loyal hound likes the teepee and we now have a lawn chair, small table, gallon urine jug, Thirst Aid Cooler and sundry other items for a long hunt. Archery deer opens a week from today and then comes muzzleloader deer. Lori hound sleeps while I open the widows and peer out. Hunting at its best.

Dan,

Best of luck. Are you archery hunting or rifle deer hunting? I hunt from ground blinds. Every year we have hunters falling asleep and falling out of their tree stands. I am amazed to see some guys 20, 25 and 30 feet UP! Two years ago a lad shot a deer from 20 feet up and then stepped off to go tag his deer. He did not survive the fall.

Many tree stand hunters use a full-body harness, but that has risks. We had two hunters die last year because they were in harness, but upside down and their cell phones had no signal.

Heights NEVER bother me when I can keep one foot on the ground. LOL.

Best of luck and be safe.

Adam

Thanks, we will try. Me, I'm a trail watcher..........try to get a place with several trail intersecting and a water source. The youngsters can do the slopes and rocks! Guess thats a sign of old age and up to 10K feet.
