Vacation Hiking and Mountain Biking

A word for vacationers....National Forests are already finding nails/screws and trail wires stretched. Be careful, there's a lot more than
fun loving people and critters in those hills!

Dan,

Are the nails, etc., part of "Weed Grows" or just the work of misfits? What is the law in Colorado on Open and Concealed Carry? I assume you always carry as most of us would.

Planted in boards/small chunks of concrete/barbed wire, piano wire. Planted on purpose.....of course, pot grows are rampant...related or just huggers?????????????? Yes, kid n dad have always carried side arms......hell,
wardens have never said a word when he was early teens on open carry. 2 legged critters and bear...we have had several bear encounters that have all worked out good!
BTW, my gun club has a 'Bear Encounter' course that USFW and CGS has all new hires attend it....it is amazing how much ground one of those critters can
cover in 5 seconds!!!
Dan

I have CWP....open carry is legal....

Final bit of the course ....at day break......is a scene projected on a sheet of a black that all else fails....you are armed with a 12 ga with slugs.....unbelievable hoe quick that thing can cover 50 yds!!!!!

That is terrible

I have also heard of someone hanging fish hooks in trails. You cannot be too careful out there. Take care. All the best...

Dan,

Also Look Down! The weed growers like to put bear traps on trails into their grow to make their point.
