Another Sunday Another Find

Was out and about for a bit today and got a call on my cell. Not that it is rare to get a call...but..this fellow had some reloading tools and firearms he was interested in selling. I advertise for older reloading tools. Anyway went and took a look. Bought a really nice ol RCBS 2A press..but also got a Contender in 223 with extra bbl in 357 Mag... a new in the box Ruger SR-22...but what I was most excited about was I got a H&R 999 Sportsman... I know it's not such great shakes as a handgun. But the 999 was the first handgun I ever shot. I have never seen one for sale(when I had the money) or whatever so I had to buy it. Is it pretty? Well, it's nice but not beautiful. But sometimes you just have a remembrance and you(in your mind) just go back in time. Memories are kinda unique. I've had this same thing happen once before. I bought and sold my first gun at the age of 8...It was a M-12 Winchester with a 26 in IC bbl in like new condition. Made 15 bucks. I bought that exact same gun 22 years later. Still have it too. This is one I think I may have to keep. I also bought a couple of rifles..one an old Savage 325 30-30 bolt gun. The other is a Marlin 39A 22. It will probably go to one of the grandkids. I have another one of them that belonged to my Father In Law... and it goes to the oldest grandson. He remembers his Great grandfather pretty well. Now I have to find some 22 ammo for the H&R. Lol
