Started Day 18

Awoke to a full moon, cool and started day 18 of no cigarettes.....just simple cold turkey. 60 years of them and no cravings....had cut back to 5 a day and just said O.K. let's go for none.....really, hasn't been difficult. Had routine physical Tuesday, every thing good...BP was 117/75....I don't ever remember it that low!

Good for you

Many of us have smoked in the past. You will feel much better and have more money for guns and ammo. Keep it up. All the best...

Dan,

You can do it! I lost count of how many years ago I quit.

Congrats to you Dan. I know from others that kicking the habit can be tough. My brother smoked for 20 years, and then quit before his son was born.

Dan,

This site, like Napolean's Grand Armee, also had an "Old Guard." I agree, it is good to see Fabs and others back here keeping the site operational.

Quit Cold Turkey myself 21 years ago. Good for you. Still get momentary craves to this day. Keep on keeping on. Gets easier every day.

Good for you , Dan!! Keep it up. I went "Cold Turkey" in '76. Now I can't stand cigarette smoke.
