Where is everybody?

I am glad to see the old core group on this site. In the old days we had a ton of folks posting like mad. Where are they and how do we get them back? All the best...
Gil

Guys, we can get the post count up again. That's what I'm holding out for!

Dan,

I have tried to UP the post count. My recent PM to you describes the fallout of my latest posts. I am now "gun shy." I will still post.

Adam...are you saying as I think you did on the post about a P-38..That you can not buy a gun without doing "paperwork" in Pa?..And someone CAN call the Po Leece about what you may or may not acquire?? If a cop showed up at my door asking about a gun I may have bought I'd tell him to get lost right before the door closed in his face...Even in ultra liberal Maryland where I used to live. And you are I think in a very rural county

skeet,

I am vexed about how to reply to your perfectly logical question. I have been warned about reporting on any future attacks by my twin and relating the experience here.

Pending Administrator Approval, here is the SHORT Story: In the vein of good natured banter about "Who got the best deal," I posted about idle wood splitting chat with a neighbor. He apparently has a 9mm pistol, a WWII Uncle bring back he never fired. He expressed a desire to trade for a rifle he could use. I, foolishly, posted it here to up the thread count. I never saw or handled the pistol, but I was confronted by a State Trooper wanting to know about an illegal gun transfer reported to him by my brother.

He asked, "Who is your neighbor" and I offered him my local telephone book as source material. I told him I do not have to prove my innocence and I had nothing more to say. He left.

Perhaps Gil Martin can answer your legal questions.

Adam

Dan,

I apologize for responding to a logical Moderator request. I tried to be VERY Careful to CMA. I will take time off for Pennsylvania bear and deer hunting until the end of the year. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
