Veteran Day

Tomorrow is the day, my thanks to all that are still around. Any special plans?
Most vets really don't want thanks, just your silent thoughts.....every one handles things differently.

Not really having been in the Military but spending much time in RVN and other places..I appreciate the veterans of the past present and future. Our military is in harms way and while I appreciate their sacrifices wish with all my heart they were home with their families.

Dan,

I am a veteran and a civil war reenactor. Our Bucktail Company has a firing party and we did a rifle salute for a veteran at 10:00 a.m. in the town cemetery. At 11:00 a.m. nearby we fired our rifled muskets with blank rounds in our town Veterans' Memorial Park.

At church last Sunday they had a Veterans' Memorial Service. Out of 25 worshippers present, the minister asked all veterans to stand. There were only three of us; one Marine, one Navy and one Air Force.
